2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account registration: name, email address, company name, and password
- Billing information: payment card details (processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store card numbers)
- COGS data you voluntarily upload for profit analysis
- Communications you send us via email or support channels
- Waitlist sign-up information: name and email address
2.2 Data Retrieved from Third-Party Integrations
When you connect your Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, or GA4 accounts, we access:
- Shopify: order data, revenue, product inventory levels, SKU information
- Meta Ads: campaign spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, cost-per-acquisition metrics
- Google Ads: campaign performance, ROAS, spend, conversion data
- GA4: website session data, traffic sources, conversion events
This data is retrieved solely to provide the Service and is not used for any other commercial purpose.
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
- Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of visits, referring URLs
- Device information: operating system, hardware model
- Usage data: features accessed, queries submitted to Ask Waypoint, engagement with briefings
2.4 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain session state, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, though this may affect Service functionality.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and operate the Service (including generating briefings, reports, and Ask Waypoint responses)
- Process subscriptions and manage billing
- Send transactional and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time)
- Improve the Service and refine our AI models using aggregated, anonymized data
- Respond to support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
4.1 Service Providers
We engage trusted vendors for cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. They are contractually obligated to use your data only as directed by us.
4.2 Business Transfers
If Waypoint Analytics is involved in a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

Third-party integration data is retained for up to 24 months to support historical reporting. Upon cancellation, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, unless legally required to retain it longer. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, encryption at rest, access controls limiting data to authorized personnel, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a breach posing risk to your rights, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; opt out of marketing communications; and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. 8. Third-Party Platforms
Your use of Shopify, Meta, and Google is governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their data practices. You may disconnect any integration from within your Waypoint Analytics account settings or directly through the respective platform.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we become aware we have done so, we will delete it promptly.
10. International Data Transfers
Waypoint Analytics is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We will take appropriate steps to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect
- Delete their personal information
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
